Amy Johnson

Amy Johnson is a lecturer in Journalism and Public Relations at Central Queensland University, Australia. Her research focus is on the military families, social media and defence engagement. Dr Johnson’s PhD thesis was titled ‘Inside and Outside: An Investigation into Social Media Use by Australian Defence Force Partners’. Dr Johnson is frequently requested for commentary relating to the Australian military and their families and has given a range of presentations to military command and special interest groups. She has lived experience of military service as the partner of an ADF veteran.
