Emma Nugent

Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare

As a Project Officer at the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare, Emma Nugent fosters a keen interest in research methodologies and program evaluation, and strives to translate evidence to practice by sharing what works in program service design. With skills in qualitative research and data visualisation, Emma seeks to help ensure research and data is accessible and that service agencies have the space and capacity to build the evidence base together. Her current role is focused on creating events and resources for service agencies to build the evidence base of what works for young people using violence in the home.  Emma holds degrees in political science and social policy and has previous experience interning at the United States House of Representatives. She has a strong interest in the rights of children and young people, and ensuring access to services and supports is equitable for all.
